The Lion King

Jonathan David Helser.
Amazing band.
Awesome stories.
We had the privilege of having this band do worship a couple weeks ago for our entire base.
They had some pretty legit analogies, one-liner's and stories.
Here is tad bit of a verbatim worship set one morning:

"The armies waking up...
Dry bones becomin' an army
I see dry bones becomin' an army

Let's let the lion out!
Open your mouth, let the lion out!
Let the Lion of the tribe of Judah out of your life!
Open wiiiiiiide!

Faith has exploded in our souls

The spirit of fear comes against you.
The spirit of fear comes against your voice,
because the enemy is afraid of your voice.

Fear attacks us because he is afraid of us.
We have the Lion of Judah inside.
Fear is trying to rob your voice.
This morning we're going to open the gates,
We're going to open the doors this morning.
The doors are right here,
The gates are right here.

Your vocal cords are connected to heaven, like this is connected to my amp.
You are connected to heaven.
Lets let Him out.
Lets let the lion of the tribe of Judah out,
Let's let a roar out of this place,
that shakes the nations!
That shakes this island!

- - - - -

You're the lion of Judah,
brave and full of courage.

Who do you say He is?

- - - - -

When he comes asking, who do you say I am?
This morning God, we declare your wonder and your power.
We grab hold of the promise
It's Christ in me, the Hope of Glory
It's the Lion in me, the hope for Glory.

It's the glory you're gonna bring when you go into the nations
You get to be the hands and feet of our savior
You get to weep with the sad, and you get to laugh with the joyful
You get to feed the orphans and sit with the widows
And you get to bring the roar of the lion of Judah
Cause he is a lamb but he is a lion
He fights for the nations
The lion in me.
The lion in me.
The lion in me.

You're gonna sing over villages and a song of the lord's gonna set 'em free
You're gonna sing the song of the lord
He says that when we praise him heaven comes down

It's the lion in you, and the lion in me
Wake up our song God.

Faith is risin'
I am seein'
You are smiling over me.

Perfect love is singing over me.
I'm your beloved.

How many of you guy's have seen the Lion King?

So there's this part in the Lion King when Simba (the Son of the King) He's gotten himself into a little bit of trouble..
And the howling hyena's are after him..
Has anyone had a howling hyena after them?

What about in the spirit, have you ever had a howling hyena after you?
What about the lying hyena's?
You ever had one of those after you?
And they back him in to a corner..
The Son of the King is backed into a corner..
Then all of a sudden this little spark of courage wakes up inside of this Son..
(Now he's a little guy at this point, cuddly little guy - kinda like some of you guy's)
And a little courage begins to wake up inside of Him..
And all of a sudden He takes His lion stance..
And He opens His mouth as big as it will go..
 And He goes..
 "rawr"

And all of a sudden His roar is eclipsed by Someone much bigger than Him..
And His Father is standing right behind him..
 Roaring over him..
Little Simba doesn't see Him..
He thinks that roar just came out of Him..
He looks into the eyes of the lying hyena's and He sees fear in their eyes..
 And they run..

Now lets sing this one more time,
I am your beloved, and I want you to sing it like a little lion cub,
and as your singing out 'I'm your beloved', the lion of the tribe of Judah is standing right behind you saying "this one is my beloved" get off her promise land!
Fear is fleeing, fear is leaving, because the father is roaring with you!
(Alright, get in your roar stance, you cuddly little lion cubs) :)"

And that was our epic worship service.
I absolutely loved his Lion King analogy and have been waiting weeks for the audio so I could post it!
Once listening to the audio, I fell in love with what was said in the beginning of worship and added that in too :)

Hopefully these words encouraged and blessed you!
If you have any questions let me know :)
XO
